What will I be doing?

Working as part of our Infrastructure project team, you’ll provide design and technical management, energy, sustainability and utility strategies for the benefit of YTL Developments.

Specifically, you’ll be working on our below ground engineering tasks or projects on the Filton Brabazon Development. Working closely with the Senior Technical Manager (Infrastructure), this will include delivering wide infrastructure, such as utilities, roads, drainage, public realms and landscaping to agreed levels of time, quality and costs with a particular emphasis on utilities.

Additionally, you’ll manage and coordinate design teams and work with internal departments to deliver design to agreed stages and milestones, including planning submission and the adoption of assets, such as roads and drainage under Section Agreements (Section 38, 104, 106, etc).
This role will also see you collaboratively working with the Commercial Department to produce cost estimates for each Infrastructure project. You’ll also compile the tender documents, issue the tenders, produce tender reports and contract the works.

What are the requirements?

To be considered for this opportunity, you’ll have sound experience in designing and delivering large scale infrastructure utilities at a site wide and individual plot level. You’ll also posses an HNC or above qualification within an engineering field, with an emphasis on electrical.

Alongside your experience, you’ll be highly knowledgeable in energy strategies, such as Smart Grids and sustainable energy generation and storage (PV, battery storage, thermal batteries). You’ll also be highly health and safety focused with the work that you deliver.

Being an effective communicator is highly essential, as you’ll be engaging with a wide range of stakeholders varying in seniority, as well as collaboratively working with a multitude of departments that help assist with the delivery of Infrastructure projects at all stages of the project.
