Award Winning Architects Appointed to Deliver First Homes at Brabazon

Stirling Prize-winning architects have been commissioned to deliver the first phase in the transformation of the historic Filton Airfield.
YTL Developments has appointed award-winning architecture practice Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios to deliver the first phase of new homes at Brabazon.
The architects – famous for their work on Accordia, the only residential development to have ever won the prestigious Stirling Prize.
Colin Skellett, Chairman of YTL UK, said: “The CPNN agreement is a landmark framework that sets out how the North Bristol fringe is set to be transformed.
“Over the next 20 years, YTL Developments will be creating a thriving new neighbourhood on the site of the former Filton Airfield. This agreement ensures that all the transport infrastructure and community facilities are in place and fully-funded at the outset, ensuring that a new generation will be able to live up to the legacy of the area’s pioneering past.”
Since 1955, YTL has led the way in creating thriving new urban communities across Asia, Australia and Europe. While Filton Airfield will be the firm’s first major UK property redevelopment project, the firm has a long track-record of investing in UK business. YTL bought Wessex Water in 2002 and owns a number of infrastructure and hotel assets. In total the company’s investments in the UK are worth over £3billion.
