YTL developments expands its planning & development team with two new hires
YTL Developments has expanded its Planning & Development team, bringing in Simon Fitton and Hannah Williams as the firm accelerates its transformation of the historic former Filton Airfield into Brabazon – a thriving new neighbourhood for Bristol.
Simon Fitton joins YTL Developments as Technical Planning Director.
Simon has over 20 years of experience as a planning consultant in Bristol and joins from Alder King LLP, where he has led the planning department for the past six years.
Simon has worked on numerous complex strategic projects across Bristol and the South West, with particular expertise across North Bristol. He has been involved in developing the vision for Filton Airfield since 2014 and has also advised on the development of the Harry Stoke New Neighbourhood.
Simon says: “Having worked on the Airfield since 2014 I am delighted to be joining the team at this very exciting stage of the project’s evolution. The vision for Brabazon is truly unique and I very much look forward to helping to secure the necessary planning consents to enable delivery in the years to come.”
Hannah Williams has joined YTL Developments as Senior Planning & Development Executive.
Hannah brings extensive experience of masterplan development to the team. Before joining YTL Developments, Hannah spent the past six years working on the largest master planned residential community In her native Australia: ‘Aura’.
Her expertise is in holistic place-making, driving value by focusing on the delivery of mixed-use projects including public open space, new urban centres and premium amenities.
Hannah says: "I am delighted to be joining YTL Developments: the firm has a compelling vision for Brabazon to become a fully mixed-use new neighbourhood and the most exciting city district in the South West and I can’t wait to play my part in delivering it."
